Paul Atkins, the candidate for President Donald Trump to lead the US Securities and Stock Exchange Committee (SEC), recently addressed the Senate Banking Committee on March 27, and called for a clear and supportive framework for the encrypted currency market.

He said: “Since 2017, when industry efforts have led to developing best practices for the digital asset industry, I have seen how the mysterious and non -existing regulations of digital assets create uncertainty in the market and prevent innovation.”

Atkins said that a top priority for his presidency is to work with his colleagues and Congress to provide a fixed organizational institution for digital assets through a rational, coherent and principled approach.

He criticized the old rules that prevent innovation and said that mysterious policies have undermined the investor’s confidence. Atkins pledged to create a framework that encourages growth, technology and investor protection, and is compatible with Trump’s view of global leadership in digital assets.

He added: “It is time for the Supreme Education Council to return to its basic mission that Congress has set for it: protecting the investor; fair, organized and effective markets; and forming capital.”

Atkins, former SEC Commissioner and current executive director of Patomak Global Partners, opened about the need for organizational clarity in the area of ​​fast -growing digital assets.

“I am keen to work on American markets and investors. If my goal is confirmed, my goal will be to ensure that the United States is the best and most secure in the world to do business and Americans to invest in their hard -class dollars to provide and provide for its future,” he explained.
