Vitalik Buterin warns of Ethereum that encryption apps are “very comfortable”
Vitalik Buterin co-founder of Ethereum again form a conversation about Web3- this time with a strong warning about the upward trend of equivalent encryption applications. While many in space encourage the most smooth user experience, Burin urges caution: it can weaken a lot of comfort of the basis of decentralization.
Since the new tools allow the wallets to operate directly inside the websites, which eliminates the need for browser extensions, separate applications or passwords – Burin asks the ETAREUM community to rethink the direction we turn to.
Rest trap: Are encryption applications very easy?
This is true – these tools solve real problems. On board the plane is easier, the user flows are more smooth, and the encryption feels more than ever. But Borin sees a potential danger in this transformation.
By placing the portfolio directly in the applications, a lot of control is delivered to these applications. If anything collapses, users may leave without protection. His concern? The comfort should not come at the expense of autonomy and security in the long run.
Smart browsers are vision
Buterin does not oppose making encryption easier to use – he just wants to make sure we are building it right road. It suggests a different path forward: something he calls “Uply minimal decentralization.”
In this vision, browsers are not just negative tools. Instead, they protect users actively-a safety examination, imposing decentralized criteria such as the user interfaces hosted by IPFS, and prohibiting encryption versions of tracking tools.
Instead of making the portfolio invisible, Borin wants interfaces controlled by users. It is not a matter of reducing steps but about making these steps safer and smarter.
His message is: Do not fall into the trap of determining comfort priorities above all. The progress is good, but only if it protects users and remains loyal to the web3 values.
He believes that the goal should be to build tools that allow users to interact with Blockchain without having to trust blindly to every platform he touches.
Make it easy, but make it uncomfortable
ETHEREUM continues to drive Blockchain innovation, but Burin’s last message is a decisive reminder. Although easy -to -use encryption applications are a big step forward, developers need to make sure not to give up much in return.
The challenge is now in creating easy-to-use and fully controlled solutions-where ETHEREUM can continue to pay the borders without sacrificing its principles.
The encryption should be comfortable but not at the expense of control.
