Uber CEO says: No one wants to compete against Tesla or Elon Musk

  • Musk said in January that Tesla will launch a paid -paid robotics service in Austin this summer.
  • Josesuchi said that Tesla would benefit from the presence of her car on Uber as well.

Uber’s CEO, Dara Khusrachhi, says that he is optimistic that his company will be able to work with Tesla and Eileon Musk when it is put up robotics.

Joshroshi was asked about Tesla during an interview with technology and media analyst, Ben Tumson, in his class news message. The interview was published on Thursday.

“Yes, I hear, no one wants to compete against Tesla or Elon, if you can help him,” Khusrushihai said to Tompson. “Their capabilities are unusual, but I believe that the same economic laws apply to them.”

Musk announced Robotaxi in Tesla, also known as Cybercab, during a launch event in October. Musk told investors during a profit call in January that the paid Robotaxi service will be launched in Austin, Texas in June.

Joseushahi said in his interview with Thompson that Tesla would benefit from the presence of its cars on the Uber show.

“After that, it is alike on Uber, and by the way, they can be both on Uber and the network, and this will create much larger revenues,” Josesuhahi said.

“So all this is due to the generation of revenues, you have a wheel box, you want to increase the revenues of this box to the maximum to reduce the cost of capital, and economic laws apply to Tesla, just as you do with any other company company,” added.

Khosrowshahi Thompson told the same rule that applies to food work, with restaurants that use many delivery services to access more customers.

“McDonald’s has its own application, and it has an incredible brand, and has a lot of capital, and has great access. They are still working with Uber eating and Douordshe, because they want to use the box called the restaurant, that economic value itself is Josesuoshi,” It will be true to move forward. ” .

“Ultimately, we hope that the magic and the economic argument will get Tesla to work with us as well,” continued. “If they want a direct channel, there is no problem.”

Uber and Tesla did not respond to the comment requests from Business Insider.

This is not the first time that Khosrowshahi has expressed his interest in partnership with Musk and Tesla. Uber has partnerships with self -driving car makers like Waymo and Wayve.

“It is clear that the competition with Elon Musk is not an easy thing, and we do not take anything for it,” Khusroshi told the Financial Times in October.

“I don’t think this will be a winning market. They, or a mixture of it, added.

It is still unclear when Tesla’s ambitions can be achieved exactly for robotics given the organizational challenges facing self -driving vehicles.

Phil Kobman, a professor at the University of Carnegie Mellon, told BI in October that it would not be easy to obtain the approval of the federal government to sell a car without a driving wheel.

Kooopman added that Tesla will also obtain approvals from individual states if it wants to expand the Robotaxi network coverage.

Musk told the investors in January that although he hoped to be tiny of car not subject to self -driving, not subject to control in most countries by the end of 2026, this may be “simply limited due to organizational issues.”

“This is a prediction of the best data that I have now,” Musk said.
