Trump: “I think we have learned: Maybe we do not use the signal.”
President Donald Trump said that there is a single lesson I learned from Signalgate.
“I think we have learned: Maybe we don’t use the sign, well?” Trump said about the correspondence request in an interview with the Atlantic published on Monday.
“If you want to know the truth, I will say frankly these people not to use the signal, although it is used by many people,” he added. “But, whatever it is, who has, whoever owns it, I don’t want to use it.”
Last month, Jeffrey Goldberg, Atletanc Editor -in -Chief, said he was unintentionally added to the conversation of the Signature Signal Consultant at the White House, Mike Walz.
Goldberg said that the collective chat was called the “Houthi PC group” and included other officials such as Defense Minister Beit Higseth, Director of National Intelligence Tolsi GabbardAnd the Minister of State Marco Rubio. “The Managers Committee” said.
Goldberg said that the Palls and other Trump officials are discussing details of an American blow to the Houthi rebels in the chat. The National Security Council later confirmed to Business Insider that the group chat was authentic.
Trump initially said he did not know the breach of security. He later defended the Fals and Hegseth, saying that he would not call them this incident.
Trump told reporters on March 26: “How do you bring Higseth in it?
“I don’t know the signal is working. I think the sign may be defective, to be honest with you,” Trump added.
Signal was first released in 2014, which is a non -profit messaging platform and open and stimulating works.
Last month, Signal wrote in the X publication that the wrong information was “flying around which it might push people away from the sign and private contacts.”
He wrote on March 25, citing the NPR report, which was quoted by an email to the Pentagon obtained, warning employees of a possible gap in the correspondence application: “One of the types of Misinfo that we need to address is the claim that there are” weaknesses “in the sign.
“The memo used the term” weakness “regarding the sign – but it has nothing to do with the basic technology of Signal. It was a warning of fraud that targets sign users.”
Trump’s representatives and empty requests from BI did not respond.
