The goal donated a million dollars with Trump’s interpretation
Target has ever submitted its first donation to the presidential opening this year, which contributed a million dollars to the opening committee of President Donald Trump on January 10, according to the recent federal election committee report.
It was first reported by Minnesota Star Tribune, which is based in Minnesota Star Tribune, which is its headquarters, which is one of the three main retailers who contributed to Trump’s inauguration in 2025, along with Wall Mart and the electronic commerce giant.
Trump’s inauguration received donations from the technology sector as well as from retail sale. Based on FEC files, the opening committee of Trump Vans raised more than $ 239 million, a number of more than the weakness of Trump to install in 2016 and much exceeded the 62 million dollar joy in 2020.
Regardless of the oil companies that donated a lot of Trump’s inauguration, both the large Silicon Valley companies such as Google, Meta and Uber also contributed a million dollars, and individual executives such as Apple TIM Cook and Dara Khosrowshahi made from Apple. These companies also saw their shares decline due to Trump’s tariff policies.
The goal is likely to be relief from Trump’s commercial policies. Nearly half of the retailers’ goods were imported, according to Rick Gomez, the head of Target, at the profits of the fourth company in 2024. In March, the targeted expectations can be that its sales similar to the full year can come in lower estimates, and said that the uncertainty about the definitions in addition to the spending of consumers can weigh profits in the first place.
Walmart and Target executives also met with Trump last week to discuss the impact of definitions on consumer prices and on retail supply chains that may lead to product deficiency.
The supply chain experts from Business Insider also told that although companies like Walmart are heavy on groceries that are mostly local, the goal is less isolated from customs tariffs because it depends heavily on goods such as clothes, household appliances and beauty products, most of which are imported. Meanwhile, food and beverages formed less than a quarter -sales of target in 2024.
The target prices decreased by about 40 % on April 29 compared to the same day last year, and decreased by more than 50 % since its peak 2021.
The opening donation follows a year of change to the goal. In May last year, Target said only a small portion of stores carrying goods the following month. The decline came after years of prominent pride offers. The company said in a note obtained by Business Insider that it will present a group online and in some stores “based on historical sales performance.”
In the same week, Trump was opened, the company said it has declined Dei initiatives, such as Dei’s goals, investment in black owned companies, and ending all external diversity polls. It joined the list of other companies that got rid of Dei initiatives after Trump ordered the end of Dei programs in federal agencies.
Attanta’s sponsor called Jamal Bryant called for a Boycott 40 days of the goal On Dei’s resolution, which attracted the wide post.
The goal and the White House immediately did not respond to the suspension requests.
