The CEO now works with customers instead of just wine and eating them

This exciting article is based on the conversation with Yan Magnan, CEO of 73 chains, the 53 -year -old, Fintech, based in New York City and London. It was released for length and clarity.

My company, 73 chain, has established during the Covid-19s, so until 2022, I couldn’t interview customers and potential partners in person for the first time. At that time, I was based in France, so I traveled to London, New York and San Francisco to meet her.

It was always short trips, so I started thinking about what I could do with my client to spend the most time with them as possible.

Every morning, I would like to do something financially, whether it is a fitness class, gym or running exercise. I realized that the people I met were the same. So, on one trip in 2022 to meet a customer, I thought, “Instead of going to a drink, why don’t I invite him to run with me?”

We went to run in Central Park, and was really nice. We did not practice extensively as if I were alone, but we had a great conversation and we got in touch. In fact it has become a good friend since then.

Since then, I began to take customers to operate or invite them to the Langtheory category or Bootcamp Litness every time I traveled. When I went to a conference, I invite customers to come with me to Bari to separate Before the events start. I am doing or running with members of my team now.

I really have a good reception, which is a great work tactic, because it is fun, people enjoy it, and you can do good conversations at the same time.

I am French, and the typical French method for maintaining relationships with customers was “wine and eating.” I am still doing it, but we also have great comments on the gym meetings early in the morning as well.

Doing the two things is great because after a night of wine and eating, you are able to reach the gym the next morning.

I will not try to sell a contract during these meetings – it relates to communicating with a person and getting to know them better, whether by sweating together or a cup of wine. We hope to love each other, and the commercial conversation can come later.

I would like to be “wine and dining” for 70 % customers of time and do another 30 % fitness – exercise with a customer once a week on average on average. The trend towards fitness is developing very quickly, so I will not be surprised if it is 50/50 within two years, especially in the United States.

The United States is a completely different monster when it comes to fitness. The ordinary trade man in France is not in fitness as much as London or the United States. A person’s country’s culture is very important, but there is definitely an increase in interest in the business world – perhaps because there is a competitive element for both.

I find that I am more efficient when I exercise regularly, so it helps me to perform better.

I will not force anyone to exercise with me – but many people are ready for that

Until now, it was often driven by me, but some of my customers and members of the team are starting to ask me to join them in any fitness activities they do on that day.

I understand that not everyone is in fitness, and I do not want to be forced to practice anyone or make anyone feel bad if he does not join him. In my team, it looks quite similar, “If you like it, you are joining.

I ask my clients hidden questions to see if they are in fitness and know if they want to join me for exercise.

You get some nice surprises – I discovered that the man I assumed was in a similar material condition for me, in fact, he was more tried, and ran. Three or four marathon per year, while another customer was running the 180 km race (about 112 miles) on the weekend before.

I hired even people I met in fitness lessons. Our Chief of Staff was the exercise partner in the Paris Gymnasium. It took about two months before we started talking about what we did to work, but I loved his position and his competitiveness. He also had the required experience and qualifications, but so he rented him.

I got work on the network by chance, but it works well for me. He kills two birds with one stone.
