Ripple CEO refuses to reject rumors to acquire the department – here is what this really means
There has been a lot of noise recently about Ripple may buy Circle, the company behind USDC, the second largest stablecoin after USDT. Now, these rumors have just got a batch thanks to the CEO of Ripple Brad GarlingHouse at the XRP LAS Vegas event.
When asked about the common deal, Garlinghyus did not say yes. But most importantly, he didn’t say no. His fine words? He “cannot precede” any acquisition. This line left the door open and the encryption community flourishes.
Let’s get one straight thing, Garinghouse explained that Ripple has not provided $ 20 billion to buy the circle. He said that this never happened. But what he did not do is to close the idea that the conversations occur behind the scenes.
This caught the attention of people. If there was no deal on the table, most of the CEOs would kill rumors immediately. Instead, Brad only took the price, not the possibility of a deal at all.
For this reason, some XRP holders believe that there is something to leave. Perhaps not for $ 20 billion, but perhaps $ 5 or 10 billion dollars? This is what some previous reports claimed that Ripple had submitted it before Circle rejected it in favor of the advertisement.
Moreover, Circle prepares for the public with the huge public subscription. They originally planned to raise 624 million dollars by selling 24 million shares, at a price ranging from $ 26 and $ 26.
