Quoting the persons familiar with the matter, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that the President of the United States (United States) Donald Trump gave the green light to his representatives, led by Treasury Secretary Scott Payette, to raise export controls on a variety of Chinese products in commercial talks with China in London on Monday.
Market reaction
Wall Street’s main indexes are mixed after this address. At the time of the press, the Dow Jones industrial rate decreased by 0.4 % a day, while the NASDAQ and the S&P 500 index increased by 0.3 % and 0.05 %, respectively.
Meanwhile, the US dollar index remains in a narrow daily range with a little higher than 99.00 as the markets are waiting for official newspapers that come out of the United States Chinese talks.
