The President of the United States (the United States) will address Donald Trump Congress from the American Capitol building at about 22:00 GMT on Wednesday, which represents his first appearance in front of legislators since the restoration of the White House. He is expected to determine his vision of a wide range of local and foreign policy initiatives.
During his second term, President Trump did not waste any time. He signed a series of executive orders in just a few weeks, and it is more on the way. During his opening speech, he announced that the “Golden Age of America” had arrived, with the identification of immigration, trade and national security as maximum priorities.
On the International Front, the President recently held a meeting of the turbulent oval office with Ukrainian President Folodimir Zelinsky. After that, he announced a stop of military aid to Ukraine.
By moving to trade, another round of definitions entered into force on March 4. The customs tariffs on Chinese imports have multiplied to 20 %, while imports from Canada and Mexico are now facing a 25 % tariff (at a rate of 10 % lower for Canadian energy). President Trump also revealed plans to impose a tariff on “external” agricultural products starting April 2, as well as a tariff for cars and mutual definitions for each country separately, scheduled to start on the same day.
