Openai removes the diversity commitment page from its website

  • Openai seems to have removed a page from its website about its commitment to Dei.
  • URL is now returning to a page called “Building Dynamic Teams”, which is not mentioned by Dei.
  • It comes in the direction of large technology companies, such as Google and Meta, and expanding the DEI initiatives.

Openai seems to have removed a page from its website, which determines its commitment to diversity, fairness and inclusion – and now the URL is re -directed a page entitled “Building dynamic difference”.

A selected version of the old commitment page, which is seen by Business Insider, indicated that Openai pledged to “improve” efforts to diversify constantly and recognized the importance of addressing bias in artificial intelligence systems.

The new page does not mention diversity, fairness or inclusion. Instead, it indicates enhancing cooperation between people who have “different backgrounds, experiences and ways of thinking”.

It is not exactly clear when Openai made the change. The latest version of the previous DEI commitment page on Wayback – a tool to access the archived web pages – dated September 7.

Techcrunch, which first I mentioned Change, referred to the diversity commitment page that is available in ABC News Story Posted on January 22.

Openai did not immediately respond to the Insider Business request for comment.

DEI technology turns

American companies, including technology companies, were declining Dei initiatives.

Earlier this month, Google ended the diversity -related recruitment targets, according to an internal memorandum obtained by Business Insider. The company also announced a review of its DEI programs.

In January, Meta replaced its DEI team, while Target expanded the scope of multiple -focused initiatives.

The shift began out of Dei’s efforts before President Donald Trump, with companies like Walmart, Ford and Lowe, which belong to similar programs last year.
