McDonald’s closes COSMC cross as the delay in sales
McDonald’s announced on Friday that it closes its Cosmc line from the beverage stores like Starbucks.
McDonald’s CEO Chris Kimbinski said in the company’s last profit call that drinks from Cosmc will be offered to “hundreds of McDonald’s restaurants” in the future.
“With regard to this next stage of the test, we will start closing all independent Cosmc sites in late June, and the Cosmc application will be stopped,” Business Insider spokesman told Business Insider.
When it was opened in 2023, Cosmc made comparisons with Starbucks. Its list included coffee, tea, lemon, attachment, breakfast sandwiches, and small pastries that are called “mcpops”.
At a meeting of 2023 with investors, Kempczinski said that Cosmc is “a small coordination concept with all DNA of McDonald’s but his unique personality.”
“Its list includes new customizable drinks, sweet and delicious treatments and familiar preferences like EGG MCMUFIN,” Kempczinski said at the meeting.
In its announcement on Friday, McDonald’s said that Cosmc was a good test ground for different new flavors, and plans to mix “outside this world of this world” from Cosmc drinks to the “McDonald’s experience”.
The company said: “What started as a belief that McDonald’s had the right to win the space of fast -growing drinks soon appeared in life as a multi -site concept, a small shape, and a concept focused on drinks.” “We were allowed to test new and bold flavors, technologies and various operations – without affecting the current McDonald’s experience for customers and crew.”
Cosmc closure comes as McDonald’s has the lowest sales since Covid-19s. The store’s sales in the United States in McDonald’s decreased by 3.6 % during the first quarter.
Kempczinski said in a profit call, with low -income Denners spending them over the past year due to economic uncertainty, McDonald’s has seen more medium -income buyers during the first quarter.
“People are just wise in reducing visits,” he told investors.
