The friend of the international trip was canceled at the last minute; I made a single trip instead

After months of planning, my college colleague, a Brazilian citizen, was appointed for a week in Cartagina, Colombia.

She would leave Brazil, and I will leave Colorado with a stop in Los Angeles. We were excited to spend our journey after spa days, delicious Colombian food, and dance parties in beach clubs.

But when I rented from Lax and went to the international station, my friend called me with unfortunate news: She was not allowed to make her journey to Cartagina.

I didn’t have many plans as soon as I got to Hawaii – I was happy to be there. Fortunately, I booked the hostel that I booked at the last minute every day, so I got exploring the island with a wonderful group of travelers of my life.

I enjoyed dealing with the famous Koko head height, jujitsu training in a great gym in Hawaii, and hitting local bars every night.

It was a great week, if unexpected, from a single travel.

I am proud of the extent of adaptation, and this experience taught me some lessons

After a little more than a year, I plan for another trip with my Brazilian Bestie. And yes, this time, we plan to research the requirements for entering our destination more in advance and follow it to “T.”

I am also thinking about paying more travel insurance, as I still have about $ 500 on the tickets for the Tribal Mountain of Colombia.

Above all, though, I am proud that I have achieved the utmost use of a disappointing situation – and I feel very lucky because I can give myself a single week in Honolulu as a funeral prize for an inter -null international trip with a friend.
