India says that Pakistan violated the ceasefire hours ago from the United States
India and Pakistan announced a full and immediate ceasefire on Saturday two weeks after the cross -border fire and artillery shelling.
The conflict sparked a terrorist attack that killed 26 people in the disputed Kashmir area.
President Donald Trump wrote about the social truth: “After a long night of talks in which the United States mediates, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations on both countries on the use of sound logic and great intelligence. Thank you for your interest in this issue!”
Foreign Minister Marco Rubio said that he and Vice President JD Vance spent 48 hours to engage with senior Indian and Pakistan officials, including the prime ministers Narendra Modi and Shahbaz Sharif.

However, India Foreign Minister Vikram Missri said in a televised speech on Saturday night that Pakistan has already violated the ceasefire, according to CNN.
“During the past few hours, there have been repeated violations of understanding earlier in this evening between the general managers of military operations in India and Pakistan,” Maysari said.
Attallah Tarar, the Pakistani Federal Information Minister, denied these accusations.
“The violation of the ceasefire agreement on our part is not possible,” Tarar told a local port per CNN.
The captain of the Indian team, Raju Nair, said that the ceasefire was being observed, but its army remained “alert to keep the sovereignty of India,” according to the BBC News.
While the United States was credited with mediation in the ceasefire, Western leaders were also seeking this week to mediate in another between Russia and Ukraine.
The leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Poland met with Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski in Kiev on Saturday and called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree to a 30 -day ceasefire of Monday, or to face more sanctions.
“Russia must agree to a 30 -day and unconditional ceasefire to create an area of talks on a just and lasting peace in Ukraine,” and the UK Prime Minister Kiir Starmer published X.
Leaders also spoke with Trump on the phone from Ukraine to discuss the ceasefire plan.
