I make money more than my husband, and he supports my career

Nearly nine years ago, while I was pregnant with our oldest, my husband asked me if I wanted to be a mother at home. I said no.

I was not happy if I was not working. It was difficult for me to grow without daily interactions with other adults, and I find my investigation in my career.

In the following years, we took financial options based on the fact that our families have two incomes.

It is not the matter that we maintain the result, but I am also the biggest asthma. Although we know this, we rarely discuss it explicitly. We just bring both dollars to the budget and discuss what is happening.

The professions have turned, and the gap has become wider

I was already making more than it was, but when the professions turned and left the army to be a diesel mechanic, the range between our income became greater, and it was a sacrifice that we decided to make together. The change of professions with privileges has no cash value; We can now live near the family without the need for anxiety, we have to move in notice of a moment, which is generally happier.

Although we will lose a large part of his salary at the beginning, it was a step that encouraged her sincerity. The shift to a profession I loved, which came with less pressure in my book. While he was on his way in this field by obtaining more certificates, his salary also increased. So the gap between us began to shrink again, and our family benefits from the fact that we enjoy our work. It also gets additional work and clarity – two things that were not allowed in the army.

Do not be bothered to make more money

He had traditional education, but though, he never bother him that I was the breadwinner in our relationship.

In fact, it was proud of my career and subsequent growth on the first day. It is my biggest fan, and if I get a large salary, we discuss what to do with the money. We have joint examination and savings accounts, and we discuss how to use “additions”, whether it is to save a vacation or buy something we need for home.

I am also proud of him and how he worked on his way; He was always successful and had great work ethics. I know that salaries do not always match the effort, and some professions are simply more profitable than others.

Our children believed that my husband was the breadwinner

However, our children, 5 and 7, did not get this memo. Recently, they have begun to say things about how “Daddy Conval” and “Daddy’s Work pays everything”. Not completely sure where this mentality comes, although there are some possibilities.

I work for your own account, and my watch is more flexible, so I tend to catch in writing while children are asleep, while my husband tends to work for more than hours during the day. In addition, my husband talks about money frequently in front of children. Although he will announce, “I must earn money” to indicate that he is heading to work, I simply say, “I need a practical achievement.” He will also say things like, “Be careful about it, cost money”, when they are in housing.

The first time that my husband hears our children talking about their perception that his income was higher than me, I told them that I actually earn more money than he does, and without my work, we will not enjoy the life we have. He also told them that they are not respected and that I was smart and good in my job.

He also told them to apologize.

We have always worked as a team to manage our money. He is approaching us and forcing us to work to communicate, even when things are exhausted. The presence of a husband supports my career and our children knew that they would do the same more than any dollar.
