The Binance C is confirmed

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), former Binance CEO, confirmed in an interview that he had officially applied for a presidential pardon Donald Trump.

However, he also made it clear that he has no plans to return as a leader in the largest encryption exchange in the world.

Files former CEO of the trick

Zhao said on Radio Varch Podcast The application was submitted through his legal team two weeks ago. He explained that the decision to move forward came after news reports in March by Bloomberg, and the Wall Street Journal claimed that he was seeking an amnesty regarding Crypto projects related to the Trump family.

“We only submitted after the article of Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal appeared,” Zhao said, referring to his initial rejection of the reports. He added: “If they are writing this article, we may be officially advanced.”

In March, Zhao publicly rejected the report about X, saying that the news port had reported incorrect information and that no discussions on the United States deal.

However, he acknowledged that he would not object to receiving pardon:

“No criminal does not mind pardon, especially being the only one in the history of the United States who was sentenced to one BSA charge.”

In the last interview, Chic Chic Styles explained that part of the motivation came from President Trump’s decision to pardon the founders of a point image, including Arthur Hayes, who admitted to be guilty of violations of the BSA.

CZ will not return to Binance

Although Zhao seeks to have mercy, he revealed that he has no plans to return to the company’s leadership. “I am not really looking until Binance CEO is again,” he said. Despite the step down, it is still the biggest contribution to the exchange of encryption.

His legal problems began in November 2023, when he admitted that he was guilty of violating money laundering in a settlement with the American authorities. Binance agreed to pay a 4.3 billion dollar penalty, as CZ contributes at $ 50 million. The former CEO also ordered the resignation as the company’s executive.

He was later sentenced to four months in prison and banned any role in Binance. According to the US Department of Justice (Doj), while the presidential amnesty will not erase its conviction, it may be allowed to take over an administrative or operational position in the company.

Since the completion of the prison period, Zhao held advisory positions abroad. In Pakistan, the country’s encryption council supports the planning of politics and infrastructure. It also signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Investment Agency in Kyrgyzstan to help in WeB3 initiatives and develop digital financing.
