Hollywood has long been betting on classic internet: The CreePyPasta.
Warner Bruce won the rights in the movie Sydney Sweeny based on the 4 -year -old Radet’s story published in the R/Nosleep community, Hollywood Observer I mentioned for the first time.
R/Nosleep community on Reddit is a place where users share scary stories from the first person. Community encourages users to maintain “indulgence” by behaving as if the stories were real.
The term “CreePypasta” describes stories from Subreddit, a play on the term “Copypasta” – blocks of largely unforgettable texts, as they are republished and re -compensated on social media, and become Mimi.
The film will be based on one of the most popular stories in society entitled “I pretended to be a missing girl so I can steal her family.”
The story follows a girl pretending to be a missing daughter for several years so that she can steal from a family. This conspiracy is similar to the 2009 horror movie “Orphan”, which follows a 33 -year -old Russian woman who pretends to be a little girl until an unexpected family adopts her.
Sweeney signed Star INS in and produced the project, and according to the report, Oscar -winning writer “Forest Gump”, the Oscar winner Eric Roth will write the scenario.
Joe Cote, an English teacher from Massachusetts, posted the story on Redait. Tell Cote Daily Mail His first thinking when Hollywood talent managers continued about the movie last year, “My pyramid is nonsense. What is happening?”
Cote did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
Hollywood has tried to bring other famous internet stories to the big screen before, as it suffers from its already adopted popularity.
In 2018, Ryan Reynolds agreed to produce a film based on a post on R/Nosleep Subreddit called “The Patient who brought me out of medicine”. The movie has never been released.
Perhaps the most prominent “CreePyPasta”, which hit the big screen was “Slender Man” for the year 2018, which relies on the Sellderman character who rose to fame through creeping stories in an internet forum called a terrible thing.
In 2021, A24 also released “Zola”, which was based on the famous Twitter topic in 2015, published by A’ziah King. He narrated her trip to Florida to be stripped.
Reddit and R/Nosleep supervisors immediately did not respond to suspension requests from Business Insider. Warner Bruce did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
