Harvard University has taken advantage of lawyers with the Republican Party associated with Trump’s prosecution due to the freezing of financing
Harvard University has recruited a group of law firms and lawyers and has relations with President Donald Trump’s allies to sue the Trump administration by freezing billions of scholarships and federal contracts.
The lawsuit filed in the Federal Court in Massachusetts is characterized by a long list of lawyers from four different companies, which was presented against a lengthy list on an equal footing of the officials of the executive agency and the appointed Trump, including the Minister of Health and Humanitarian Services Robert F. Kennedy Junior, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Defense Secretary Betty Higseth.
The lawsuit said that the freezing of financing will affect continuous research that develops “new drugs to fight Parkinson’s diseases and Alzheimer’s disease, nano fibers engineers to protect soldiers and first respondents, support American astronauts in space, and to design an artificial intelligence system that can be used for diagnosis and cancer treatment.”
Queen Emmanuel, his headquarters in Los Angeles, represented Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, who donated $ 250 million to Trump’s campaign and is now the face of the DOGE office in the White House and his effort to reduce the size of the federal government.
William Burke, Coin Emmanuel’s lawyer, is a former White House lawyer for Republican President George W. Bush, and was appointed by Trump in January to advise the company on ethics issues. Burck also has a record to represent Steve Bannon, the former chief strategy in the White House during the first Trump administration.
Regardless of Burck, Robert K. Hor, part of the King & Spalding company, represents Harvard. He was nominated by Trump in 2017 to serve as an American lawyer in Maryland, and he was once a writer of Judges William Renkuist.
Hor was also appointed to the appointment of Harr in 2023 to investigate Democratic President Joe Biden with classified documents. However, he refused to follow the charges against Biden.
At the Lehotsky Keller Cohn company, many lawyers participating in the Harvard case are former writers of the conservative Supreme Court judges Brett Cavano or Samuel Alto.
In addition, lawyers from Big Law Ropes & Gray are inserted on the lawsuit that represents Harvard.
The Trump administration has not only targeted universities by freezing or canceling the grants of financing or government contracts, but also aimed at large law procedures with executive procedures. So far, some companies have cut deals with the Trump administration, while others filed a lawsuit. It is known that none of the Harvard’s law firms have made deals with the Trump administration or was the subject of the executive procedure.
In the case of Harvard, the suspension of funding came after the university rejected the Trump administration demands to dismantle diversity, shares, integration and limit admission to international students who are considered “anti -American values.”
The administration accused the University of strengthening “division -raising ideologies” and its failure to protect Jewish students, which prompted a federal review led by health, education and internal security departments.
“No government – regardless of the party in power – should not be dictated by private universities to teach, who can recognize and employ it, and any areas of study and investigation that they can follow,” wrote the President of Harvard University, Alan Garper, a Jew, in a letter on April 14.
Harrison Fields, deputy chief press secretary of the White House, responded in a statement to BI on Monday that “the broth train for federal assistance to institutions such as Harvard University, which enriches their paid bureaucrats highly ends with basic cases.”
