In a ridiculous development of fate, it was claimed that the infiltrator was behind the exploitation of $ 9.57 million in February on ZKLInd had made a victim of another fraud.

The suspected criminal in the series claimed that they lost 2930 ETH, at a value of about $ 5.4 million, while trying to launder the stolen money through Tornado Cash.

Zklend penetration

Zklend too certain The strange shift of events in a post on X, indicating that the attacker has interacted with a well -known website, Tornadoeth[.]Criticism, as they tried to cover their paths of chasers.

The fraud site is said to have been working for the past five years, and it has immediately drained the full balance of the thief of 2,930 Ith. In a message on Zklend, striker Crestfallen seemed, saying:

“Hello, I tried to transfer money to Tornado, but I used a site on the hunting and hunting site, and all the money was lost. I am devastating. I am very sorry for all the chaos and losses that caused it. All 2930 money has been taken by the owners of this site … Please redirect your efforts to whether you can recover some money.”

The epic began in February, two days before Valentine’s Day, when the StarkNet lending protocol was hacked with more than $ 9.5 million. According to the exploiter, which was identified only through the address 0x64 … 9109, from the decimal accuracy vulnerability on ZKLEND to manipulate the errors of rapprochement in the accumulation of lending and artificially inflating its balance. As a result, they stopped about 3700 ETH, forcing the platform to temporarily stop withdrawals.

After the theft, Zklend tried to negotiate with the perpetrator, providing them with a white reward of 10 % of the stolen money in exchange for the return of the remaining 3300 ETH. However, the infiltrator remained silent, where the encryption assets were transferred through various channels, including 706 ETH, at a value of $ 1.8 million, which were sent via Railgun.

Legitimacy concerns: disappearance on a stage?

Not everyone bought the hunting story, though. Many people in the encryption community questioned the call of infiltrators, as the most prevalent theory was that they falsified the loss and avoided more scrutiny from Blockchain investigators and law enforcement.

Given that Zklend was tracking stolen money and working with security companies on the series and the police, some have argued that this may be a trick to make the money disappear without any trace.

Soon the reactions to X were immersed, with some people refer to the suspicious timing of the advertisement. One user, @pvt.teh, sarcastically male“The right to April Fools.” Others predicted that Phisher and Hacker could be the same person.

Another theory is that the attacker may have transferred the stolen eth to an alternative address, using the alcoholic fishing story as Tast. @0xgekko was among those who were not without, saying:

“Mh, screams more like an infiltrator tries to avoid any heat of a possible achievement.”

However, ZKLIND treats the loss of alcoholic fishing as a legitimate event, noting that there is no conclusive evidence yet that the hunting and exploitation site is connected.
