Ethereum Pectra was delayed in April 2025
- Ethereum Pectra Mainnet faces the delay upgrade after April 2025.
- Developers give priority to a comprehensive test on Hoodi Testnet before setting a new date.
- Executing the expiration of the date affected by the postponement.
The ethereum Pectra Mainnet upgrade was delayed until after its initial history in the target April 2025, according to the decisions taken during all the main developers of Ethereum (ACDC) #153 on March 20. This postponement reflects the cautious approach to the development team to ensure network upgrade revenues without complications.
During the call, the main ETHEREUM developers reviewed PECTRA but chose to confirm a specific Mainnet launch date. Instead, they decided to monitor the performance of the upgrade on Hoodi, a recently launched test specifically designed to assess the stability of Pectra in light of the control conditions.
This approach is in line with Ethereum Tim Beiko support data, which previously indicated that the timing will depend on successful Testnet implementation.
“Betra’s date will be set after more than 30 days after the success of the Hoody Forex successfully, waiting for the Infra test and the customer. Make up In previous contacts.
Battra to go live on Hudi in March
The primary justification for postponing the upgrade centers about the need for a comprehensive test. Developers use a Hoody environment to simulate real network conditions and determine potential weaknesses before stimulating bacteria on Mainnet from ETAREUM.
The upgrade is scheduled for Hudi on March 26, where the development team plans to carefully monitor its performance before adhering to a MainNet version.
One of the additional factors that hold the PECTRA schedule is the expiration of history, a planned maintenance process originally scheduled on May 1. This procedure, associated with an ETHEREUM 6110 (EIP 6110) proposal, will adjust how to address the auditor’s deposit date within the ETHEREUM network.
Given the integrated role of Pectra in facilitating this process, delaying the promotion necessarily prompts the end of the expiration of history as well, prompting developers to reconsider the schedule of this maintenance process.
The cautious approach follows a recent accident on Sepolia Testnet, where the Pectra app has faced unexpected problems. “The bacterial upgrade in Cibulia collided because the knot was not upgraded in time – trivial, but it is a reminder: No strong ethereum is like its weakest player.
One of the community members indicated that one of the forgotten node can delay the upgrade, imagine what happens when the real money is at stake, “while highlighting the risks involved in promotions at the network level.
While the PECTRA test continues, parallel discussions related to the main promotion of ETHEREM, Fusaka continues to progress. The developers evaluate additional improvements to be included in future updates to ensure Ethereum maintains its position at the Blockchain technology.
