Elon Musk says he regrets what he said about Donald Trump
Days after their hostility in public opinion, Elon Musk is walking some of what he said about President Donald Trump.
“I regret some of my posts about President Realdonaldtrum last week. They went too far,” Mousse wrote at X early on Wednesday morning.
Trump responded hours later, saying New York Post In a brief interview: “I thought it was very good that he did it.”
The White House did not immediately respond to an additional comment.
Musk’s post came less than a week after his relationship with Trump publicly collapsed. On Thursday, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX reiterated his criticism of the Trump signature tax bill in a series of publications on X.
After that, Musk claimed the credit for Trump’s victory and the victory of the Republican Party in the elections last year, before he floated on the possibility of his political party.
“Such dumping,” said Musk of Trump and the Republicans in a position in X last week. He also agreed to the X post, which indicated Trump’s isolation, before deleting it.
Trump initially expressed his disappointment with Musk’s behavior and threatened to cancel government contracts received by musk companies. The president seemed to hit a more reconciliation tone during a press conference on Monday.
Trump said, “Look, I wish him success. You understand? We have a good relationship, and I wish him success.”
Musk did not respond to the comment request.
Musk was a prominent supporter of Trump’s presidential campaign, spent at least $ 277 million to support Trump and other Republican candidates in last year’s elections. After Trump’s victory, Musk joined the administration and led the White House office Doge.
Initial investors looked at Musk’s association with Trump as positive. Tesla reached the closing price of $ 479 in December.
But public opinion about Musk began acidity as Dog began to lay off federal workers and cut government contracts. The protests expanded to Tesla showrooms throughout the country. In March, Tesla fell by more than 40 % of record levels in mid -December.
Last month, Musk said in the call of Tesla’s profits that he would reduce his participation with Dog. He said in an interview with CNBC in May that he was planning to visit the White House “for a few days every few weeks.”
On Tuesday, Musk responded in X to the Bloomberg story he said he lost 25 % of his wealth because of Dog: “He deserves all this trouble,” he wrote.
On Wednesday morning, Wedbush and Tesla Bulls analysts commented on Trump’s relationship and musk, and they wrote, “Trump needs Musk to stay close to the Republican Party and musk needs Trump for many reasons, including a green light on a federal framework for self -rule.”
New York Post It also released a Podcast with Trump on Wednesday, and he recorded Monday before Musk’s recent comments. In this, the president said he “has no difficult feelings” about their fall.
Trump added that it is “not a happy cart” when Musk criticized the bill.
