In November 2024, OBYTE has passed by updating the main network to include many new interesting features, bringing improvements to decentralization, governance and security. This feature was mainly provided to support Sidechains, especially those that need a central method to request transactions without relying on their consensus mechanism. However, it can also be useful for other applications that require verification of temporary data, such as the timeline of the document or false messages.

To send temporary data to Dag, you will only need to move to the “send” list in the OBYTE port. After that, in the “What Send” section, you choose “temporary data”. You will find a list including “field” and “value”, and the option to add more fields. The “field” represents the name or type of data it stores, and “value” is the actual content of these data.

For example, you can put the “Hash document” as a field and said retail (“QMX3 … a unique IPFS fragment”) as a value. Or you can choose any temporary and temporary message that will be erased from DAG one day later. The estimated fees in GBYTE will appear below, and the transaction will be completed after payment.

System variables
