The opening weekend numbers are good news for Disney, which fought to the fans’ temptation to see a new “Snow White” edition in March.

Although the 1937 original animated movie won the Disney Award in the Oscar, the 2025 version received mixed reviews from critics and received only $ 43 million at the local box office during the weekend. A series of differences surrounded the film, which may have affected the viewers.

“Amateur”, a film produced by the studios of the twentieth century, achieved less when it was first shown in April. Rami Malik and Lawrence Fisborn Championship, broke the dust of $ 14 million during the opening weekend.

The early success of “Thunderbolts*” is also a sign that Disney can reflect the recession of the super hero. The slowing attention of fans and the excessive saturation of the Marvel TV series on Disney+ what some view as a decrease in quality, causes Marvel to rethink its approach to the launch of Marvel content.

At the time of writing this report, “Thunderbolts*” had a score of 88 % based on 257 reviews of spoiled tomatoes.

Disney and Marvel Studios representatives did not respond immediately to request a comment from Business Insider.
