A tweet from Paraguay Santiago Benia claimed that the country adopted Bitcoin as a legal tender. This post included a graphic drawing as a presidential decree, stating that Paraguay has established the Bitcoin Reserve worth $ 5 million.
It also indicates that the country will provide access to encryption bonds to “citizens who support encryption”. However, taking a closer look at the post indicates that the official president’s account can be penetrated.

The image attached to the tweet appears to be designed as a presidential decree. However, its design, tone and coordination do not match the official government documents of Paraguay.
The language contains an extraordinary formulation. Terminology such as “Equetado de Tesoreería” and “Ciudadanos Habylitados Por Criptomonedas” are not used in official legal contexts.
The stamp on the document appears to be a digital entrance. Border design is general. The advertisement uses the language of conversation instead of legal terms or official policy. Terms such as “Ciudadanos Habylitados Por Criptomonedas” and “Equetado de Tesorerta” are not a standard legal language in Spanish.
It is worth noting that a tweet includes the Bitcoin portfolio address. This is a common feature in the publications of the encryption fraud and very traditional in government communication.
President Benia has publicly not supported Bitcoin as a legal tendency before. His administration followed a cautious approach to regulating encryption.
Paraguay allows bitcoin mining due to the surplus photographer. But the government expressed concern about illegal miners who exploit the national energy network.
Benia is an economist coach and former adviser to the International Monetary Fund. Its focus was on financial reform and digital infrastructure – not the dependence of encryption.
