The Chinese authorities have warned of a criminal group that defrauded investors by offering them as developers of Deepseek Blockchain project.

The fraudsters falsely claimed that their platform was designed with Deepseek technology, which enhances it as a safe and effective investment opportunity.

Deepseek Crypto Scams targets Chinese users

Dibsic gained attention in January after the artificial intelligence model is said to match Openai’s performance on specific criteria at a lower cost.

According to the Chinese government, this noise attracted investors keen to take advantage of its potential. The fraudsters took advantage of this momentum, as they launched mass financing campaigns before they disappeared with money.

The authorities revealed that the victims had been misled to believe that they could make more than 10,000 yuan ($ 1373) per month using Deepseek.

The fraudsters sold an educational program for 39.9 yuan ($ 5.5), claiming that he will teach users how to write viral content. However, only four of the 104 pages contain related materials, while the rest was available to the public.

In another scheme, the fraudsters created fake “liquidation training camps”, imposing a fee between 299 yuan ($ 41) and 399 yuan ($ 55) for training courses that were found to be value.

The deception spanned further when the fraudsters created fake diplomas, and presented them as official groups.

They promoted “internal test qualifications” and “advanced courses”, as they later presented Deepseekcoin – a fake encrypted currency that they claimed are strong technical support. This is the attractive investors who lost all their money.

In January, Dibsic distanced the coding symbols that are lied to its name.

“Deepsik has not issued any encoded currency. Currently, there is only one official account on the Twitter platform. We will not contact anyone through other accounts,” the project I mentioned.

Fake Deepseek applications publishes malware

In addition to financial fraud, the authorities have raised concerns about the high fake Deepsek applications included in harmful programs.

According to the authorities, Internet criminals distribute malware to Deepseek apps under different names, including Deepseek.app, Deepseek.exe, Deepseek.msi and Deepseek.dmg. These applications make up serious security risks and settle the special data for users.

Once installed, these fake applications demand to download a harmful guaranteed update. Then harmful programs reach the system features, allowing them to steal sensitive information such as contacts and messages.

In some cases, the harmful code prevents users from uninstalling the application, which makes removing it difficult.

The authorities warn that artificial intelligence applications such as Deepseek become more popular, and similar fraud will increase.

The Chinese authorities stated: “It is expected that in the future the Trojan horses in the future of various artificial intelligence applications, including the impersonation of the character of Depsic, will increase.”

Therefore, users are advised to verify sources before engaging with investment opportunities related to artificial intelligence and survival caution about suspicious applications that may pose security threats.
