CDN and hosting providers need progress: stop protecting bad actors
It is 2025, however, the Internet is still wild West without law where the fraudsters extend, malware, and fatal clinic sites – all because CDN and hosting providers refuse to take responsibility for their own networks. Instead of being proactive, sitting and hiding behind the legal gaps, awaiting court orders and official complaints before raising one finger.
Let’s be honest: this is not related to technical restrictions. These companies have the ability to prevent harmful fields, fraud sites, and cut off the malware in the source. But instead of using this strength forever, they choose not to do anything – because we are facing it, the bad actors are also pushing customers.
An excuse “not our problem” is a joke
Service providers and CDN such as Cloudflare, AWS and others host them like neutral entities, claiming that they “provide content” and “provide infrastructure”. Meanwhile, they provide a safe haven for electronic criminals and those who use their services to distribute harmful programs, launch hunting campaigns, maintaining themselves hidden, and frank fraud.
How many times have the researchers and professionals in cybersecurity reported the shaded areas for hosting companies only to receive the same tiring response? “We ask for a court or legal request before we can take action.” seriously? By the time the legal system is caught, the fraud has already operated its course, stolen thousands of dollars, and moved to another field.
Industry benefits from fraud
It is not a secret that money is the real reason for service providers who refuse to act. A bad site still pays for hosting. Fraud process continues to buy the frequency range. Even robots, which flood the Internet with unwanted messages and fake traffic, lined up on CDN pockets that make their requests happily.
At some point, we have to call this really what it is: neglect with a profit motive. These companies intentionally facilitate Internet crimes, and there is no amount of “neutrality” the term that changes this.
Simple solutions, zero virgins
There is a technique to identify and prevent harmful sites already. CDNS and hosting providers can reach the intelligence of threat in actual time, black menus, and automatic monitoring tools. If e -mail service providers can liquidate deception emails before they reach your inbox, why can’t CDN do the same for harmful websites?
Here is what should happen:
-
The automatic ban of the well -known actors – You should not need to distribute harmful programs, areas of hunting, and fraud sites to close the court order. If it is harmful, prohibited, suspended, or canceled.
-
Transparency and accountability The hosting providers must publish lists of bad domains they banned, instead of hiding behind mysterious policies.
-
Heavy penalties for failure – If CDN or the hosting provider refuses to act against fraud, they should be legally responsible for enabling electronic crimes.
Enough is enough
The Internet should not be free for everyone for criminals. Companies that control their infrastructure need to stop playing and start applying their own rules. If they do not, the organizers must intervene and start treating them as partners.
The bottom line? If you are hosting fraud, hunting sites or malware, you are part of the problem. If you are CDN or DNS or a hosting provider that allows this to happen, you are guilty of yourself.
Non -accountability
Let’s talk about the absolute lack of accountability between Internet service providers (ISPS), data centers, CDN, agent providers, and companies hosting when it comes to fraud on the Internet. It is a joke.
The deception prepares a store on their networks – fishing sites, fake online stores, robots, e -mail farms – call them. What do these companies do when they are reported? nothing.
Oh, wait, correction: they pass. They ignore reports, claim they need “official law enforcement procedures”, or – personal favorites – who are submitting that they do not see any violations.
Excuse me? You are the ones who provide the infrastructure used by these criminals to tear people. They are your IP addresses host fraud sites. Your servers explode emails for hunting. Your network provides the backbone of some of the dribbling processes that destroy lives. But instead of cutting it, you sit and wait for the court? call? suit?
This is a radical idea: If someone reports a fraudulent activity on your network, join him. And if it is fulfilled? close. He – is. under. Immediately. Do not give the fraudsters a safe haven because you are lazy, greedy, or indifferent to behavior. It should not take weeks, months, or legal action to remove the fraud site that deceives people to deliver their credit card details.
The longer it is, the more damage.
And let us be honest-most of these fraud networks Know What is happening. They only do not care. Why? Since these fraudsters pay the price of hosting like anyone else, and as long as the money continues, these companies are completely happy in the other direction.
Well, this is some news for them: You are completely complicit. You facilitate crime. And every time you ignore a legitimate fraud report, you increase the Internet for everyone – except, of course, for criminals who line up your pockets.
Therefore, to any Internet service provider, the hosting center or data center is still withdrawing their feet when it comes to fraud operations that work on your networks: Do better. Stop protecting the fraudsters. Stop pretending that it is not your responsibility. And to love all moral things, if your network is used for fraud, Close it.
