With this approval, Bitmart focuses on building a compatible and licensed platform with the organizational framework of Hong Kong for virtual asset trading platforms (VATP). The platform is committed to Hong Kong obligations to combat money laundering (AML) and terrorist financing (CTF) to ensure safe and reliable transactions.
Hong Kong actively agreed to licenses for encryption companies as part of their efforts to become a global center for encryption activities. Recently, the Securities and Futures Committee (SFC) granted a license in favor of Bullish, the leading virtual asset trading platform. SFC has also developed a road map to attract international platforms, requests flows and liquidity providers. Hong Kong continues to welcome the main virtual asset platforms, as it reduces the barriers of institutional liquidity providers and facilitate communications with local platforms.
In addition, the APAC region confirmed that foreign citizens can now use their encryption holdings, such as Bitcoin and Ether, as a guide to funds for the investment scheme visa in the new capital, which is part of its broader ambitions for encryption.
