The concept of digital twins appeared in the early first decade of the twentieth century [1] Since then, it has evolved to include various forms such as spatial digital twins [2]Twin digital mobility [16, 17]Urban digital twins, human digital twins, and others. In section 2.1, we discuss the various variables of digital twins and in section 2.2, we discuss many status studies for SDTS.
2.1. Digital twins and variables
in [18]The generalized characteristics of digital twins are determined in terms of three basic components: material reality, virtual representation, and interdependence that exchanges information between material reality and virtual representation. Modern report [2] It focuses on the importance of combining spatial data with digital twins, and describes spatial digital twins as a comprehensive representation of dimensions and sites of assets, infrastructure and systems. Mobility Digital Twin and Smart City Digital Twin are examples of spatial digital twins. Other types of digital twins include artificial digital twin, health Digital Twin and others.
Digital twins mobility. in [16]The authors have developed a complete framework for digital mobility twins that manages navigation entities such as humans, vehicles and traffic. in [17]The authors suggested a system of predictions with granules with good granules for digital twins to move. One of their main objectives is the digital twins for mobility in the virtual space.
Digital twins smart city. Digital twins are widely explored in the context of smart cities. Smart City Digital Twin is also known as Urban Digital Twin. The main challenges for implementing the digital twin for smart cities come from the complexity of the systems and the types of ultimate alternative users [19]. [9] He explains that the urban planners and stakeholders in politics and other decision makers can greatly benefit from the digital twin of smart cities, which are simply formed by integrating data in actual time with a multi -agent framework. [20] The study of detailed literature on the integration of BIM and GIS data in the context of the twin digital city. It also provides theoretical analysis and frame design, and highlights future research trends in the field of GIS and BIM integration. [21] It highlights the capabilities of automated learning techniques to process the 3D cloud to build spatial geographical twins. [22] It presents a review of the current work of the city’s digital twins and also defines the current and future capabilities and challenges of the digital twin cities.
Industry digital twins. Digital twins to manufacture automation in industries have been seen before applying them to smart cities. The researchers focused on adopting digital twin techniques from different dimensions to design and improve the engineering products family [23] Improving production [24]. A recent study [25] It determines and assesses the importance of the main features (i.e. the advantage of digital modeling, the analysis support feature, the timing feature, and the control feature) of digital twins for the success of its manufacturing in implementation.
Twin digital health. Human digital twin [26]Also known as Twin Digital Health Digital, the human life cycle with the aim of managing smart health. in [27]The authors suggested the use of digital digital twins of the augmented reality of the human twin modeling. Healthy digital twins improved personal health care [28] Due to the availability of extensive data for the risk of developing the disease and forecasting progress.
I am free. The concept of digital twins has also been implemented for the interior space [29] To capture the outlook behavior. in [30]The authors have studied the integration of digital twin technologies at four levels of energy sector applications (i.e. a low carbon city, the smart network, the electrical transportation system and the advanced energy storage system), defined its challenges and discussed possible solutions.
