Trump says he will speak to Putin on Tuesday to try to end the Ukraine war

President Donald Trump said he was planning to speak to the leader of Russia, Vladimir Putin, on Tuesday, to talk about ending the Ukraine war.
“We will see whether we have something to announce, perhaps by Tuesday. I will talk to President Putin on Tuesday,” Trump told reporters on the first air force on Sunday, according to multiple media reports.
“A lot of work has been carried out during the weekend. We want to see whether we can finish,” Trump added.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022. Since then, both sides have suffered great losses and losses.
Earlier this month, the Trump administration stopped all military aid and intelligence participation with Ukraine. They were later restored after Ukraine said it was ready to accept an American proposal for an immediate stopping for 30 days with Russia.
